It concentrates on two hours in the life of a woman Cléo, a pop singer who awaits the results of her tests for cancer.

She visits a fortune teller who predicts stomach cancer, which is what she is afraid she might be dying of. Cleo abandons her insensitive lover and begins to journey through Paris as an independent woman. she puts on a black dress, takes off her wig, and tries to see things from a different perspective, learning much from her friend Dorothée. At the end she meets a caring soldier just about to ship out, and he accompanies her to discover the results of her medical tests. Cléo has  also figured out how to face an uncertain future.

讲述的是一个女歌手Cléo两个小时的生活。她在等待癌症的诊断结果。
