Otis Rush是土生土长的密西西比人，1940年代末移居芝加哥。他是一位令人景仰的电吉他手，也是一位出色的歌曲作者。他是左撇子，演奏时常蜷曲起手掌以小指定音在low E。他还拥有宽广的音域，以及气势磅礴的高音。其独特的吉他风格是以慢条斯理的声音和绵长的转折为注脚的。

Brief introduction

As a Mississippi native who moved to Chicago in the late 1940s, Otis Rush was a  venerable electric guitarist as well as a knockout songwriter. He is left-handed and played often with the little finger of his pick hand curled under the low E for positioning. He also has a wide-ranging, powerful tenor voice. His distinctive guitar style features a slow burning sound and long bent notes.

Rush is credited with being one of the founders of the West side guitar style, along with Magic Sam and Buddy Guy. The depth of his emotion and his power of expression are so overwhelming that he’s actually been criticized for making listeners feel too sad.
