The film is about three sisters who grew up in Dalarna, a county north of Stockholm where the residents are called Dalecarlians. Dalecarlians consider their county the heart of Sweden.

The youngest sister, Mia, who left home at an early age for a bigcity life, returns from Stockholm to join the celebration of her father Calle's 70th birthday. Once there, she is presented with her birth ground and the huge differences she has developed with her sisters. The tension builds up and the party turns out to be a turning point for the family and their friends. Anger and jealousy, fueled by booze, rise to the surface. None of the characters feel good about how they live.

电影讲的是在Dalarna长大的三姐妹的故事。Dalarna是斯德哥尔摩北部的一个郡，那里的居民被称为Dalecarlians。Dalecarlians认为Dalarna是瑞典的中心。
