Esposito is a thief who has successfully eluded the law for many years. Bottoni is a policeman who has been given three months to bring Esposito to justice. The policeman arrange for himself to be ingratiated with Esposito's warmhearted family. He finally meets Esposito at a colorful family get-together. The men discover that they're kindred spirits.
