Twenty-five countries, twenty-five visions from respected film directors from each of the countries that form the new European Community.

At the dawn of the new millennium, the chances for European solidarity have never been greater. Borders vanish; National currency disappears, sovereign laws and rules become predetermined by common European regulations. But daunting obstacles remain: chaos in Russia, ethnic strife in the Balkans, an economic slow-down in the West. A small piece of the jigsaw might reflect the whole puzzle. Will the euro, which became the European Union's new currency, be enough to hold at least part of Europe together?
