A single shot of the Empire State Building from the dusk of 25th of July 1964 till dawn of the following day. The camera was fixed on the 44th floor of the Time Life Building. Perhaps it want to tell us, time of reality and time of cinema are the same.

Warhol's abandonment of silent filmmaking soon after it was completed suggests that he too believed that Empire completed this stage of his filmmaking career.
