Dada artist Man Ray is now recognised as one of the influential artists of the 20th century. He made just 4 films: the hypnotic and playful Le Retour a la raison, the abstract, dadaist cinepoem Emak Bakla, L'Etoile de Mer based on a poem by Robert Desnos, and the surrealist Les Mysteres du Chateau du De. This collection also contains more than ten short, previously unreleased biographical films, shot between 1923 and 1940. |
