Sited in an industrial city in Shaanxi province. Wu Hongyan is a single young woman who work as a bailiff in a regional court. To escape her horrible job and put an end to her overwhelming loneliness, she makes a long train journey to a nearby town every weekend to join parties organized by a marriage agency.

There she meets a shadowy stranger Li Jun. This quiet man inspires excitement and sexual desire in Wu for the first time. However, Li Jun’s wife is unexpectedly the last woman Wu executed. When she uncovers his terrifying intentions, he has already prepared themselves for boating on the reservoir.

故事发生在陕西省的一个工业城市中。年轻的单身女性吴红燕是一位女法警，在地方法院工作。为了摆脱工作带来的可怕阴影，也是为了结束难以忍受的孤独，她每个周末都会坐火车去一个附近的城镇，参加婚姻介绍所组织的舞会。
